Alien Run Mountain Bike Trail
This nationally known trail is 3 miles north of Mountain View Campground and host a variety of terrain to test your skills. From sand to slickrock, you’ll get your fill of outdoor fun! This trail has three loops, each longer than the last. The longest loop is over 16 miles of awesomeness!
Aztec Motocross Track
Two miles by dirt or three miles by road, you’ll find the Aztec Motocross Track and Kart Canyon go-cart track. It’s not uncommon to find groups out at the track on pleasant evenings or over the weekend, and there are races there periodically throughout the year. It’s easy to hop onto a trail right from camp and end up at the track.
Tiger Park (Fishing Pond and Disc Golf Course)
Tiger Park is a great place for a relaxing time. The pond has great trout fishing all year. It is stocked with rainbows. The disc golf course is an 18 hole masterpiece through the high desert terrain. Throw off high ridges to baskets below. Try and make it in the basket on the side of a steep slope. Take your family! It’s just 4 miles from the campground.


Natural Arches
San Juan County is home to over 200 natural arches between Aztec and Navajo Lake. Some of these arches are an easy 5 minute drive from camp! Scroll through the images to see a sampling of just a few of these magnificent sandstone structures, and talk to Johnathan for directions or a guided tour.
Aztec Ruins National Monument
When these ruins were first discovered by the gentleman, from whom Indiana Jones was inspired, he thought these were ruins of the ancient Aztec civilization. Now we know these are Anasazi ruins, and this site hosts a huge settlement you can walk through and explore. Aztec Ruins is a World Heritage Site, and this is 10 minutes from camp!
